years ago today (23 April 2006), Lucca and I were paired together and
began our training as a dog team. On23 April 2007, Lucca and I landed
in Iraq and served with several units during the surge, south of
Baghdad. During her first deployment,
Lucca located numerous IED's and caches, saving countless lives. She
was the only reason I made it home to my family. Military Working Dogs
have been serving our country since WWII and I am very proud to be part
